Max Scherzer pitched six strong innings to earn his first Major League win, as the D-backs beat the Braves, 12-0, on Saturday night in front of 30,162 at Turner Field.
Scherzer (1-3) was making the 23rd appearance of his big league career and his 14th start. The right-hander walked three and struck out four while allowing four hits.
