Rangers non-roster RHP Nick Tepesch survived the first cut of the spring Wednesday. Tepesch, 24, has been impressive in two appearances. The important point for Texas is that Tepesch has faced 18 hitters without allowing a walk. Compare that to another top prospect. RHP Cody Buckel walked or hit seven of the 15 batters faced. That explains why the Rangers returned Buckel to the minor league camp but kept Tepesch with the big club...
