♦ While the Tigers lost, 4-1, the team did itself proud and the fans got to see a well-played, closely matched ballgame, in which Mizzou outhit the Gamecocks 9-7.
♦ In a schedule change, Mizzou and South Carolina will play the final two games of the series beginning Saturday at 2 p.m. in a doubleheader. The scheduled game Sunday will be cancelled if the teams complete two games Saturday.
