Tim Jamieson's Team USA to play @ Omaha

US-Japan baseball series to come to Omaha (Omaha.com)
The U.S. team played a one-game exhibition last summer against an all-star team from one of Japan's collegiate leagues. This year's game, set for July 8 at TD Ameritrade Park, will pit the U.S. against the Japanese national university team.

Missouri coach Tim Jamieson will serve as head coach of the U.S. team, and his staff will include Dave Van Horn, the former Nebraska coach who now is at Arkansas. Van Horn will serve as the third-base coach.

The selection process for the U.S. team also will change this year. In the past, USA Baseball held tryouts at in mid-June at the national training facility to select the team. This year, Jamieson and his staff will select the team based on spring performances.
