KU 3B Thompson injures knee (Topeka Capital Journal)
University of Kansas all-America third baseman Tony Thompson will miss the first several weeks of the college baseball season after sustaining a knee injury in practice, KU coach Ritch Price announced Tuesday.

Price said Thompson, the Big 12's Triple Crown winner last year, sustained a hairline fracture of his left kneecap after fouling a pitch off his knee during a practice last week.
