CLASS AAA

♦ Brock Bond (06-07) Fresno Grizzlies (Pacific Coast League) San Francisco Giants organization

•Hitting .336 as of 8/6/12

♦ Ryan Lollis (06-09) Fresno Grizzlies (Pacific Coast League)  San Francisco Giants organization

• Lollis has emerged as a very good player since he was promoted to Fresno in July and is batting .319 in 91 AB -- 25 points higher than the 2.96 he was hitting at Single-A San Jose.

CLASS AA

♦ Tyler Clark (08-10): Erie Sea Wolves (Eastern League) Detroit Tigers organization

• Clark was moved up to Double-A on August 6th

♦ Evan Frey (05-07) Mobile Bay Bears  (AA Southern League) Arizona Diamondbacks organization).

• Frey was moved down to Mobile from the AAA Reno Aces on May 20th

♦ Mike Liberto (09-10)  Northwest Arkansas Naturals (AA Texas League) Kansas City Royals organization

Liberto was moved up to Double-A on June 27th, from the Wilmington Blue Rocks (Carolina League)

♦ Nick Tepesch (08-10) Frisco Rough Riders (Texas League) Texas Rangers organization

• Tepesch has had several incredibly good games with Frisco (he pitched a stretch of 14 innings over 2 games in late July where he gave no runs) 

♦ Rick Zagone (06-08): Bowie Bay Sox (Eastern League) Baltimore Orioles organization

• Zagone has seen time in AA, AA and High A ball this season, was moved back up to AA Bowie in late June, where he has compiled a 3-2 record with a 3.51 ERA in 8 games.

CLASS A - Advanced

♦ Phil McCormick (08-11)  San Jose Giants (California League) San Francisco Giants organization

• .429 ERA in 48 appearances, 42 IP, mostly in middle relief

♦ Brett Nicholas (10) Myrtle Beach Pelicans (Carolina League) Texas Rangers organization

• Nicholas has been very consistent at the plate.  He is currently batting .284, the exact same BA we reported a month ago on 7/4

CLASS A

♦ Aaron Senne (07-10) Greensboro Grasshoppers (South Atlantic League) Florida Marlins organization

• Senne is doing quite well in his first full injury-free season in the minors.  Currently batting .297, with 13 2B, 1 3B and 7 HR

♦ Matt Stites (11) Fort Wayne TinCaps (Midwest League) San Diego Padres organization

• Stites is having a great season, posting a 0.49 ERA with a 2-0 record and 10 saves in 33 appearances, 37 IP

CLASS A ROOKIE

♦ Blake Brown (10-12) Danville Braves (Appalachian League) Atlanta Braves organization

• Brown has struggled in his rookie season, with a .208 average and 3 HR in 120 AB

♦ Eric Garcia (10-12) GCL Braves (Gulf Coast League) Atlanta Braves organization

• Garcia was moved down to the GCL instructional league from the Danville Braves after batting .203 in 59 AB.  He has a .255 BA since the move.

♦ Kyle Gibson (07-09) Gulf Coast Twins  (Gulf Coast League)  Minnesota Twins organization

• Gibson is on a rehab assignment in the GCL, where he has a 2.31 ERA in 8 games, 11.2 IP.  He has struck out 12.   It's expected he'll be moved back to Triple-A Rochester before the end of this season.

♦ Blake Holovach (12) Pulaski Mariners (Appalachian League) Seattle Mariners organization

• 0-3, 3.16 ERA in 10 games, 31.1 IP.  Holovach has struggled since being moved into the starting rotation

♦ James Hudelson (11) Bristol White Sox (Appalachian League) Chicago White Sox organization

• 0-2, 6.41 ERA, 14 APP, 19.2 IP

♦ Ben Turner (09-12) Salem-Keizer Volcanoes (Northwest League) San Francisco Giants organization

• Turner is currently listed as Active, but has no stats;  He spent the early season on the DL; he broke his thumb before the Volcanoes' first game

INDEPENDENT LEAGUES

♦ Trevor Coleman (07-09):  Kansas City T-Bones (American Association)

• Coleman was released by the Seattle Mariners organization on 5/21 after playing 5 games for the High Desert Mavericks (California League)
• Currently hitting .266 for the T-Bones

♦ Andrew Johnston (05): Gary South Shore Railcats (American Association)

• 0-2, 4.87 ERA in 5 games, 20.1 IP
• Johnston has struggled with injury during the season

♦ Hunter Mense (07-09):  Kansas City T-Bones (American Association)

• .274 BA

INTERNATIONAL

♦ Doug Mathis (05) has joined the Chiba Lotte Marines of the Nippon Professional Baseball League after spending most of the season with the Pawtucket Red Sox (International League) Boston Red Sox organization

RELEASED


♦ Zach Hardoin (10-11) was released by the Houston Astros organization

♦ Myles Smith was drafted by the Mets, but did not sign
