♦ Missouri baseball defeats Illinois at Busch Stadium (Columbia Missourian)
Less than a year after being drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals, Brett Graves took the mound at Busch Stadium on a chilly April evening.
Instead of the red and white of his hometown team, however, Graves was wearing the black and gold uniform of the Missouri Tigers. He allowed three runs over six innings to lead Missouri to a 5-4 victory over Illinois on Wednesday night.
MU IN THE MINORS
♦ Former Tiger Brett Nicholas has been promoted to High-A Myrtle Beach in the San Francisco Giants organization.
♦ Aaron Senne missed all of last season due to injury. Unfortunately, he's on the disabled list again:
Not as fortunate is first baseman Aaron Senne, who fractured the top of his little finger in a collision with Lexington’s first baseman Saturday. Senne is on the disabled list and will be out about six weeks. (gsohoppers.mlblogs.com)
