But Ivory, after Graves induced a key double play in the top half of the third, answered for the Vikings. With the bases loaded, he smacked an opposite-field base hit that scored two more runs, and Case Munson followed suit with an RBI single for a 4-1 Howell lead entering the fourth.
As Graves settled in, the Vikings further padded their lead. They sent eight men to the plate as part of a four-run fifth. Ivory plated the first tally with a sacrifice fly, Gordie Gundaker came through with a two-run single and Jared Hagely capped the rally with an RBI fielder's choice that made it 8-1.

"Brett Graves walked off the field his last football game, walked by me and said, ‘Let's go get our ring,'" Howell coach Tony Perkins said. "And that's our goal."
. . .

Both Graves and Ivory are MU Baseball signed recruits for this fall.
