Mike Anderson will be back to coach the Nebraska baseball team next season, Athletic Director Tom Osborne said Monday.

“There’s never been a debate,” Osborne said. “There’s never been any question about Mike being back. Mike’s a good coach. He’s got a young team, and I’m not making any excuses for him.”

Anderson has come under scrutiny for the Huskers’ poor play this season after NU finished last in the Big 12 a year ago and failed to make the eight-team league tournament.
