Fourteen membrs of the University of Missouri baseball squad have been awarded varsity letters in recognition of their services in a season which carried them to the National Collegiate Athletic association championship, Don Faurot, director of athletics, announced today.
The Tigers, in addition to the tradional honor sweaters, will also receive miniature gold baseballs, emblematic of the Big Seven conference championship which qualified them for the NCAA tournament.
The lettermen: Albert Beckmann, Overland; Edward Cook, Granite City, Ill.; Emil Kammer, Normandy; Norman Stewart, Shelbyville; George Gleason, Kansas City; Robert Schoonmaker, Lebanon; Jesse Cox, Sikeston; Duane Dickinson, Hammond, Ind.; Todd Sickel, Kansas City; James Doerr, St. Louis; Jerald Schoonmaker, Lebanon; Robert Musgrave, Columbia; Eldon Morgan, Kansas City; and Kent Henson, Oran.
